At the Grand Tea Room

Escondido, CA.

Produced by Katie Burlington

Directed by Marc Wasserman

Written by the masterminds behind the Olivier Award-winning Mischief Theatre Company, "The Play That Goes Wrong" is a side-splitting comedy that has been entertaining audiences around the world with its slapstick humor and clever wit. Now, theater enthusiasts and comedy lovers alike can enjoy this laugh-out-loud production at the Grand Tea Room, where sophistication meets hilarity.

"The Play That Goes Wrong" transports guests into a "play within a play" where a disastrous amateur theatrical production of "Haversham Manor" literally and figuratively falls apart. From missed cues to malfunctioning props, the bumbling cast of characters navigates through a series of mishaps and misadventures, leaving audiences in stitches from start to finish.

413 Repertory Theater is excited to conclude our 10th anniversary 2023-2024 season with this Oliver winning best play of 2018. Our production will feature a full cast of professional San Diego actors, beautiful vintage costumes and an immersive dining experience with a fully themed high tea.
