“Little Shop of Horrors,” written by the award winning team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, is a Broadway cult classic that combines elements of horror, comedy, and romance. The story follows Seymour Krelborn, a down-on-his-luck florist’s assistant, who discovers a mysterious plant with a penchant for human flesh. As the plant, named Audrey II, grows and demands more, Seymour’s life spirals into chaos and comedy.
November of 2025, guests will have the extraordinary opportunity to indulge in a high tea while being captivated by the whimsical and darkly comedic tale of a carnivorous plant and its unsuspecting owner in this immersive "in the round" intimate production.
413 Rep is excited to produce its first musical at the Grand Tea Room after 10 years of sold out play performances.
-AUDITION APPOINTMENTS-
Non-equity, in person auditions are now taking place by virtual submission. Potential auditioners must attend a Mandatory callback of Wednesday August 20th from 6:30pm - 10:00pm.
-AUDITION REQUIREMENTS-
All roles will be single cast. Actors ages 18-99 are invited to submit a virtual audition.

-CALLBACKS-
Callbacks are by request only. Callbacks will take place August 20th from 6:30pm - 10:00pm at the Grand Tea Room. Those selected for a callback will be notified and provided further information.
-DETAILS-
$500 gas stipends will be provided to each actor. Most of Rehearsal process from August - October 15th will be self guided so ability to learn music and lines without in person rehearsals is a must. In person rehearsals will be evening only and take place 3 weeks prior to performances S/M/T/W evenings in Escondido from 6:30pm - 10:00pm beginning the week of October 15th.
