The  Madeline Gardens Bistro

The Madeline Gardens Bistro is a restaurant and event venue located in beautiful, historic Pasadena.  The Mansion was built in 1927 by Edgar J. Cheesewright, the architect whose other high profile projects include Hearst Castle, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, Santa Maria Inn and Greystone Mansion. The building itself was originally constructed as a private estate but left vacant by the Great Depression in 1929.

Later on it became a brothel and then was incorporated into a U.S Naval Research Center in association with Cal Tech located a few blocks south. Rumors have it, that the famous scientist Albert Einstein even created the outer shell of the Nuclear Bomb inside of the building. Today the mansion serves as a beautiful tea room and event space with performances with the 413 Project.
